Zach Galligan is an 80’s legend, know for his role as the young Billy Peltzer in the hit 1984 horror comedy movie - Gremlins and its 1990 sequel - Gremlins 2: The New Batch.

Despite being released on June 8, 1984, the same day as Ghostbusters, Gremlins was a huge commercial success but was criticised for being too violent for children, so much so that Steven Spielberg suggested the MPAA create a PG-13 rating.

Since then Zach has played parts in many cult horror and sci-fi titles, including Waxwork I and II, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, Cyborg 3: The Recycler, Hatchet III and even played an ensign on board Captain Janeway’s vessel in Star Trek Voyager.

More recently, Gremlins screenwriter Chris Columbus confirmed that a Gremlins 3 movie is in the works at Warner Brothers, with the story and style going back to the twisted sensibility of the first movie. It will also be a sequel not a reboot so the chances of seeing Zach reprising his role as an older (but wiser?) Billy Peltzer are high.

Expect to see Gizmo and his terrifying new offspring in cinemas again soon. Just remember not to feed them after midnight!
