can   I   get   involved?

Yes we love fans to get involved in our events, email for more information.

getting an autograph from a famous guest

Get an actor to sign a photo or item with a personalised message in person! You can pay on the day for this or you can purchase an autograph from any of our guests before the event from our website

You can buy autographs at the table of the guest on the day, but the more popular guests will sell out so it is advised to buy in advance. They also sometimes can increase their price on the day, this is unusual but it can happen, another benefit of buying upfront.

If you pre buy a ticket you will take your eticket to the queue to the autograph hall which is situated to the left hand side of the reception area as you walk in through the main doors, clearly marked on the map. This is also the entrance to the Q&A arena. Your ticket will be checked and you will be placed in a priority lane. Payers on the day join this same queue, but people who have purchased in advance get the priority lane ahead of payers. When you get into the autograph hall, you will join the queue of the desired actor you want to get an autograph from, and at the table your ticket will be scanned and exchanged for the autograph, or you can pay at the table.

At the table the guest will have a selection of photographs for you to choose from which they will sign. This photo is included in the price you have paid for the autograph. You can bring in items to be signed, but there may be an extra charge for the signing of premium items but this is rare, the maximum you could be charged for any kind of personalisation or premium item would be £10.

Most actors will also sell selfies at their tables; again these are at the actor’s discretion on the day, at the table. The autograph hall is open from 11am-6pm. The only time the actor will not be at their table is when they are on a photo shoot, Q&A, or lunch break. Check the schedule carefully to plan your day.

photo  sessions

Get your picture taken with your favourite stars by a professional photographer.

The perfect memento and a real genuine keepsake from the day you got to meet your favourite actor. The photo will be instantly developed for you to walk away with within minutes from our photo studio. No waiting around until the end of the day or for it to be posted to you, it is issued almost instantly on the spot.

how it works

Due to the high demand for photographs we have allocated two photo shoot areas marked clearly on the map, which will operate side by side as photo shoot A, and photo shoot B.

Each guest taking part in photo ops will be assigned two photo sessions per day, you are free to join any photo shoot queue with pre paid tickets or to pay on the day at anytime and do not need to pre book. check the schedule here. People who have purchased a ticket in advance will be the only customers allowed to join the queue for the first half of each signing session. After half the session has passed paying customers on the day can then join the queue. So for example if there is a 30 min photo session, payers on the day will be able to join the queue after 15 minutes. Please note that if you are paying on the day for photos please have the right cash ready to pay at the ticket booth so you do not hold up the queue.

Your photo will be taken by a professional photographer in front of a backdrop with lighting to ensure the picture is of the best quality possible. You will be standing next to the guest and not have anything else in the picture; this excludes shoots where they are with vehicles or set builds. The picture will be issued on the spot within minutes on a 6” by 9” colour photo (not an inkjet print).

is  the  photo  charge  per  person  or  per  group/can   I  have   more   than   one   person   in   a   photo?

The photograph charge is per person, you receive one photo each. You can have as many people in the picture as you like. So for example two people can stand either side of the guest, but both people in the shoot will need to pay for a photo ticket. Children between the ages 0-3 years can be included in the picture at no extra cost. The reason the cost is per person is due to the huge expense of putting these shoots on. If we charged per group for this level of guest, these shoots would be financially impossible. If this year the shoots work out financially, next year we are looking at having children included in the picture for free.

we   reserve   these   rights

FTLOSF reserves the right to refuse anyone from taking part in the photo shoot. If payment has already been taken, we will issue a full refund. We also reserve the right to change the day and times of the photo shoot if it at all becomes necessary, subject to guest changes.

do  I  have to  pay  extra  for  special  guest  panels/q&A  sessions?

No. Special guest panels and Q&A sessions are included in the cost of your entry fee. We would advise you keep an eye on stage times and arrive early before the panel you would like to attend, as we cannot guarantee everyone will get a seat. Disabled, elderly or pregnant customers will have priority.

The schedule for our Sci-Fi LIVE stage has now been released, it may change slightly before the event however due to last minute changes so please keep checking back. If you find that a panel is on a day that you are not attending and wish to change the day of your tickets you should call the seller you purchased them from:

0844 8000 410 (calls cost 5p per minute plus your phone company's access charge). Phone lines are open Monday - Saturday 9am - 9pm & Sundays and Bank Holidays 10am - 5pm

03333 01 01 01

Please also note that stage times will be published in the official programme and on our social channels but may change on the day.

does   the   venue   have   disabled   access?

The whole ground floor is wheelchair friendly and has ramps. However the cantina space bar is on the first floor. Sadly the venue does not have elevators so the cantina is not accessible. However we will do everything we can to help disabled people up the stairs including those in wheelchairs if they sign a disclaimer to say this is done at their own risk and liability.

is   there   a   quiet   area   for   autistic   children   and   adults?

If all the excitement gets a little too much for you or your child with the noise and crowds, we have hired in an inflatable dome with comfy seating and bean bags for them to relax and calm down. We will also upon request get a costume group member to meet the children on their own in the dome away from the hustle and bustle. We are an autistic friendly event and know how easy it is for some children and adults to experience sensory overloads.

Are   there   changing   areas   for   cosplayers?

We have hired in two inflatable domes to allow people to get changed, a separate changing area for males and one for females. A cloakroom is also provided for valuables, to allow cosplayers to be able to freely walk around the venue in costume. The cloakroom will be charged at £2.

what   is   your   weapons   policy?

Compliance to this policy is mandatory for everybody and no exceptions will be made. Anybody breaking these rules can have their tickets withdrawn with no refund offered. Prohibited items are;

  • Metal blades e.g. swords, razors, axes, and knives. Also corkscrews
  • Real firearms, guns, rifles, or artillery.
  • Gas canisters
  • Heavy bats, paddles or clubs including wooden or metal baseball bats.
  • Bokken- a type of hard wooden (or toughened plastic) training sword.
  • Explosives and incendiary devices.
  • Working strung bows, crossbows, sharp arrows or bolts.
  • Protruding nails or other sharp items
  • Any other items restricted or prohibited from being carried in public by UK law

what do the ticket booking fees cover?

The 10% fee on general admission tickets covers firstly the card processing fees, and merchant charges the bank impose. The rest of the money goes towards a dedicated customer services team working 7 days a week manning call centres 12 hours per day for queries regarding peoples tickets. On the day you will see very expensive scanning equipment which run off wifi which we have to get upgrade due to the amount of tickets to be scanned on the day, it also goes towards numerous tech staff to man these machines. The event does not gain any revenue from this and without rapidscan eticket equipment like this these events would not be possible to put on. The £1 charge on an auto and photo covers the merchant charge to the bank, and the £1 to print tickets off again covers the above.

I   still   have   a   question!
