Andrew Lawden

Andrew is best known for his roles as stand-in/double for Qui Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and Naboo Soldier (Royal Guard) in Star Wars The Phantom Menace. With a career spanning over 20 years, he is also known for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Third Contact, Topboy, and more recently Prime Suspect 1973 and the Dr Who tribute, Tale of the Time Lord.

Coming from a background in classical theatre and musicals, his credits include West End roles in Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew, Baby Doll, Grand Hote, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and most recently, alternating between the roles of Doc Brown and Strickland in the London stage version of Back to the Future with Secret Cinema event - Great Scott!, where he got to drive the Delorean!

A familiar face at For the Love of Sci-Fi, Andrew returns with his Jedi fight academy - his extremely popular lightsaber training classes. As part of the 40 Years of Star Wars Panel, he will also be taking part in a live Vader/Skywalker fight from Return of the Jedi. 

Andrew looks forward to meeting fans old and new, and teaching some great classes.
